New plugin added to exclude twitter posts

While I have seen an increase in traffic by using twitter and the twitter tools plugin I describe in my latest Warriors Forum WSO, I was starting to find it annoying to see my home page for my blog littered with my daily ramblings up on Twitter.com.
So today I set out in a search to find a plugin that would allow me to still include the twitter posts in other parts of the blog but remove them from the home page. What I found was a plugin called Advanced Comment Excluder.
With advanced comment Excluder, you are able to select which categories appear on which parts of your blog. Five areas are included in the plugin, but the most interesting areas for me were; The Home Page, Archives, and RSS Feeds.
For my case, I only wanted to exclude the twitter posts from the main column of the home page. By simply not checking the twitter category I have set up for my twitter posts, I was able to effectively do that. By checking the category for all the other areas, the twitter posts are still creating content for my blog to be picked up by the search engines, but they are not distracting visitors like you as I describe my daily activities.
While there is still some great insights and links provided through the Twitter posts, it isn’t the “core” purpose of this blog and I hope this change will enhance your user experience.
Feel free to post a comment and let me know what you think about the change, and whether you are thinking about doing it for your own blog.
