After a bumpy flight leaving Salt Lake, and a long walk through the Airport in Las Vegas, we made it to Orange County Airport. Of course hotel reservation information was in my laptop, with a dead battery, but I was able to get the number for the Annaheim Embassy Suites from the Santa Cruz location and get the lowdown on where to find a shuttle to the hotel. Of course there are two Embassy Suites in Annaheim, so me made a guess that it was the one closest to Disneyland and ended up at the right place.
We caught a late night snack in the cafe at the hotel and ended up running into Stu and Brent in the eCenter with some printer problems. The night before and morning of an event is always a flurry of activity.
From the cafe, I wasn’t able to get connected to the WiFi through my new iTouch, but was able to connect in my room through another network across the street. Hopefully we should be able to work out the connection problems this weekend and figure out the new device. There are a few things I wished it had, like the ability to add calendar events and an email client, but the interface design on the iPhone and iTouch are incredible.
I bought it today from Costco to test out our new project Training Broadcaster. Basically, Training Broadcaster is a sequential multi-media podcast. We will be launching it this weekend from this event, and debuting it with some of the marketers here on Friday or Saturday before opening it up to the world.
This event is also the first event under our new business model of being an outsource marketing department. The second website launching this weekend is GurusForHire.com which will be our marketing services portal. After an initial evaluation of your current marketing methods, and your business, we determine whether or not your business will benefit from our consulting. If so, we then develop a startegic plan specific to your business and help you implement it. If you follow our plan, we guarantee an increase in profits.
If you’re at the event, be sure to say hi to Rick or myself, and let us know what your doing in your business. While I am the techie, and Rick is more social, I am starting to warm up to others over the years.
