On my quest to find more ways to monetize my blog, I stumbled across PayPerPost.com what seems like almost a month ago. While many of the opportunities, are only available to blogs with higher pagerank, I figured you got to start somewhere right? So I signed up and started displaying the badge, waiting for that day when I finally get accepted.

Today was the day! This is my first post through the service, and the start of a wonderful relationship. Up until this month, I really hadn’t focused on monetizing my blog, I simply wanted to use it as a sounding board. However, I started tracking my stats and found my traffic was increasing, and my blog quickly became one of my top sites.

So, while it is possible to monetize your blog through Adsense, and affiliate products, you should really check out creating paid reviews/posts on your blog as well as selling advertising space. It really hit me as a solution when I started working with Entrecard, and checking out some of the professional bloggers out there like JohnChow.com.

If you have a blog getting any kind of traffic, whether it has PR or not, I invite you to checkout payperpost and see if it is yet another way to start earning money by blogging about your passion.

I am going to be using some of the money I earn to help entrepreneurs around the world through Kiva.org, as well spend some quality time in Costa Rica with my wife, Laura.
