Well the new year is finally here! I am really excited to see what the new year brings, we currently have a lot of things beginning to happen with our business and we are approaching the tipping point where the momentum takes over and we start to experience some explosive growth.

In order to give the best workshop ever for product creation, we have postpone the January Product Creation Lab we were planning for Las Vegas, and will reschedule that event this this spring. Don’t worry though, we are putting togethor some FREE teleseminars beginning this month sharing some of the content we already laid out for that event. I will post more details about the teleseminars next week.

You will see more teleseminars from us each month in the new year. We recently subscribed to a service from Rick Raddatz with a 200 person bridge line, and up to 2000 people listening in over the web. We have included teleseminars as an integral part of our training in 2008. It is the most cost effective way we can connect with you, and you with us without either one of us spending the time and money for travel, leaving our business and family behind.

The second change for 2008, you will see a number of membership sites launched over the coming months from Firehorse Marketing. We have had the Butterfly Marketing script for sometime now, and have not yet fully utilised the power of this script, until 2008. In 2007 we released our Lots-of-PIPs.com Forex Trading site and have been very satisfied with the results.

Now for my resolutions…

I am starting a diet today, but a different type of diet, my goal is to gain weight. I am what you call a “hard gainer”, it is actually difficult for me to gain weight. The most I have ever weighed was 164 lbs. In order to get there, I was working with a trainer twice a week, and eating 5 - 6 times a day. I was also taking a number of supplements such as creatine, and anther supplement called Myo-Blast that heps you gain muscle mass. It was a lot of work, and I don’t want to go through as much as I did back then, so I am planning a more gradual approach this time.

My diet has improved since I got married, so that should help. I am planning to go to the gym, at least three times a week. We belong to 24 Hour Fitness, which is a little father away since we moved to our small condo, but still close.

Both Laura and I weighed in this morning. I won’t share her weight, (wives are funny that way), but mine was 150.2 lbs. My goal is to gain 10 lbs. and make it up to 160 lbs. Laura is looking to lose 20 lbs. Lately, we have fallen victims to the sugar demons, with a lot of candy and sweets from the holiday season like most of you. Sugar is one of the main factors we are changing in our diet, along with regular exercise.

My good friend Robby LeBlanc is starting a diet this year as well, in preparation to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. Robby is a marketing expert, and latin guitarist based out of Las Vegas. Once he starts his blog, probably later this week, I’ll let you know so you can check out his daily progress as well.

A goal I set at the beginning of 2007 was to speak professionally at least six times a year. I am starting 2008 out with a bang, speaking at the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce about goal setting with a presentation titled; On You Mark, Ready, Get Set, Goal.

You may have also noticed a shift of the design of my blog here at KevinHDavis.com. My goal here is to take my blog to the next level and create a steady income stream from it. Pam Hoffman introduced me to EntreCard in 2007, and through it, my eyes were opend to the world of professional bloggers like John Chow, John Cow, and Jeremy Shoemaker from Shoemoney.com. Pam maintains one of the most up to date marketing seminar list on the net, be sure to check it out at http://seminarlist.blogspot.com.

Our goal is to move to Costa Rica in 2008, and monetizing my blog is one way to help make that happen. Of course one of the keys to a profitable blog is constant valuable content, so I hope to deliver on my promise in 2008.

What are some of your New Years Resolutions?

Kevin

  1. Wow! You are certainly packing it in for 2008 Kevin.

The funny thing about resolutions - I can get inspired at any time to make changes in my life.

I just can’t wait for a certain DATE to make them. If I gotta do it, I gotta do it NOW!

As such, I hardly EVER make a ‘New Year’s Resolution’ any more. I’m almost always ready to make changes at other times of the year and I want to implement them when I’m ready to, not just some arbitrary date.

I do a little reflecting around this time of the year. Of course, I do that all year long too.

So, I’m bucking the tradition for myself and I’m NOT going to make any resolutions right now.

I AM building some new web sites though.

One is about books (which i started already) and the other involves crafts (which i have yet to start).

Maybe that is what I do at the beginning of the New Year…
