When Internet Marketers Get Lazy…

They Lose Sales!
With the big product launch and push for Armand Morin’s Internet Marketing Explained, my inbox has been a flurry of activity with emails for Armand, as well as all the major players. Now that I have switched to a Blackberry, I am actually reading more mail than I have over the last year. Previously, many of the mails form the various lists I subscribe to would drop into folders automatically within Thunderbird. My intention there was to maintain a swipe file of all the best copy from my “Mentors”.
Now with the Blackberry, it is still novel enough that I am going through email finding lists I need to unsubscribe to, and using small gpas of time to read a few.
This morning, one came through from Carl Galletti, a master copywriter and the organizer of The Internet Marketing Super Conference in Vegas each spring. Since Carl is a copywriter, I opened the email and read it. I like the opening…
“Why were 1100+ people on the edge of their seats Wednesday night and Monday night?
The answer is simple.
High Value Content, Absolutely Free”
Then right after that, an email came in from a List Bandit member, with the exact same copy. I thought ok, Carl’s sending out through List Bandit as well. Nope, that email was from a member named Toni.
Now as I write this, I am rethinking what may have happened. I haven’t read a lot of the emails sent out for IME, but my initial thought was Carl is being lazy and sending out the canned copy from Armand instead of writing his own copy. It could be that Toni actually copied Carl’s copy but I doubt it.
Who do you think was the lazy one, Carl or Toni?
One marketer that consistently writes his own copy and ends up always being in the top affiliates for any competition is Rick Raddatz. The other secret weapon to Rick affiliate success is his amazing bonuses, and this promotion was no different. If you don’t belong to Rick list, I suggest you subscribe and check it out.
