The Way Of The Ethical Marketer

Over a year ago now, I registered the domain SamuraiMarketingAcademy.com.  My vision for that site was to create a training/certification program for ethical marketing practices.  The idea was the Samurai lived their life by a code of ethics, and refined their skills through constant training and discipline much like what we should be following.

The early days of the Adsense Gold Rush, brought out a lot more of the wild west approach to marketing allowing us to shoot from the hip and not worry about precision execution or the quality delivered.  Those days are now dimishing, and if you study the most successful marketers these days, they are true students of Kaizen.  If you ever get a chance, you should visit one of their offices and see how much tehy actually invest each year in training, constantly trying to improve their art.

I am coming up on a trip in June to Las Vegas, and looking forward to an extended time with my business partner Rick Dearr to mastermind our upcoming projects.  This will be a good time to sit down and write the new treatise on “The Way Of The Marketer”.

In the meantime, there are two affordable launches that came out this week, and a few not so affordable.

The first one is Affiliate Evolution from Russell Brunson.  When I was talking about visiting a millionaire marketer’s office to see what they invest in, one of them I was talking about was Russell.  Russell buys everything!  Russell has released what is hands down, the most value for your money with Affiliate Evolution.  Part of it is based on a session in a seminar I attended in Annaheim that gives you the step by step to start making money with 24 hours as an affiliate.  That is just the start, there is a lot more there as well.



The second product launched this week is also related to affiliate marketing, which is a great place too start out, since you don’t have to create a product yourself. 

The product is Eric Rockefeller’s The Affiliate Conspiracy.  Eric is one of the affiliate marketers that has quickly rocketed to the top and now dominates any niche he gets into.  I have been testing some new Adwords techniques the last week and I am now looking forward to applying some of Eric secrets to improve my results even more.

The IM Giveaway Day 4 – Starting To Slow Down

We are now at day four of Reed Floren’s The IM Giveaway.  At first I thought Reed positioned his dad’s giveaway permanently at #1 until I finally saw it drop a position today.

There are now nearly 600 FREE products available with many of them including Private Label Rights, Master Resell Rights, or simply Resell Rights.  Many of the larger named marketers arrived late but quickly moved up in position as they mailed their list.

I have fallen some and then clawed my way back up and I am now in about position 67.  The subscribers are still coming in for my Twitter Tactics videos, but the volume is down from the intial day.  Since the beginning on Friday, I have added 190 subscribers with over 150 confirmed double optins.  Because of the volume of emails subscribers have to go through, it is taking the average subscriber about 2 days to confirm their subscription.

Besides my own lists, I did also send out a mail through ListDotCom, YourLuckyList, and TheListMachine.  Of course clickthroughs on these services were much less than my own lists, but still add some traffic and hopefully some signups as well.

As my product moves down the list, I can really tell the difference in the volume of signups.  Reed’s last email said we had over 13,000 people signup so far.  Cash bonuses kick in once we get to 20,000 signups for the giveaway.
