Â
1)Â Â Â Â Â Creating a slick Flash based site or using frames to build your website.
2)Â Â Â Â Â Not identifying your ideal target market.Â

a.      http://www.SEOBook.com has a keyword research tool for free
b.     http://freekeywords.WordTracker.com/gtrends is another alternative.
4)Â Â Â Â Â Not using your keywords in the title of each page of the site and not creating a unique title for every page of your site.
5)Â Â Â Â Â Not using your keywords when naming each of the pages of your website.
a.      Art1.html, Art2.html

     Not having enough content
a.      Each of the pages of your site should contain at least 500 words
b.     Even if you contract someone to do SEO for you, realize you will need to create the content for them.
9)Â Â Â Â Â Not using a blog
a.      A blog creates frequently updated content for your site, and provides an RSS feed notifying the search engines when content is added.
b.     Social Bookmarking should also be used to create backlinks to your site/blog
                                                             i.     Del.icio.us, Digg, StumbleUpon are the major sites
10)Â Broken links to pages that no longer exist
a.      Broken links cause the search engine spider that indexes your site to stop looking at your site and move on

Very nice list. I am probably guilty of most of them! LOL!
