Net Profit Magazine

I registered a new domain this week for a new project, NetProfitMagazine.com.  Of course, I need a new project like a hole in the head but I am not finding what I am looking for in mainstream media so decided to create something of my own.

To the left is the beginning of the cover, I was able to find a great template to start with for Adobe InDesign, and spent tonight filling up a lightbox on IStockPhoto.com for photos and graphics throughout the content.

I am not expecting to write the whole magazine by myself, so of course I will be looking for contributing writers out there to take part.  I am also hoping to call in a few favors and get some interviews and articles from some major players within the industry as well as a different perspective of online marketing from mainstream online retail providers.

There is more to online marketing than the “Make Money Online” niche and I hope the magazine will develop into a source of cutting edge industry information for both the entrepreneur and small to medium size businesses.  We are currently developing our editorial calendar so if you have any ideas of what type of content you would like to see our contribute, please let me know.

We are also wrapping our heads around advertising packages and the development of our media kit.

Part of the profits from this magazine will help fund my investments in entrepreneurs around the world through Kiva.org.  My intention is to pay it forward, and set a good example for other entrepreneurs to do the same.  We can make a great impact through this little magazine.  Still in debate over physical versus digital delivery.  We will probably offer a physical copy with an online component.

Look for for news about the magazine later this month as it develops.
