Taguchi Split Test Software

A long time ago, at least in internet terms, I bought KaizenTrack split testing software. I used it for a while and then kind of pushed it to the side. It was powerful software, but complicated and hard to setup campaigns. There were some training videos, however it was hard to understand the Romanian accent. From what I understand they even had a version that worked with Butterfly Marketing Script. Which is what I use a lot now. Butterfly script now also has it’s own multivariate testing tool, but I haven’t taken the time to try it out yet either.
Last night I read a landing page ebook from Mark Widawer, which had a chapter about taguchi split testing which reminded me about KaizenTrack. I was able to dig through my emails and harddrive to find the version I had and install two upgrades to the latest version which was released in 2007, 1.3. That same year they released an even more powerful version and then basically stopped updating teh original KaizenTrack. Their forum is basically a ghosttown now.
So today, after checking out KaizenTrack again on my server I have started a new search for a better solution for my split-testing needs. The best one I have come across so far is called Conversion Prophet from Peter Yoon. This one has some interesting features that I haven’t found on others, such as grading the variations based on the AIDA principle of copywriting. This is done by scoring the pages based on how long the visitor stays on the page and take action. Most split testing tools are based solely on actions. By adding AIDA scoring to the mix, you are actually able to get an indication of better combinations before any actions are even taken. Of course you still want to run the tests through a benchmark set of actions to prove the early indications.
The other software that Mark recommended was Split Test Accelerator from Jim Stone. One of the better features of this software is the ability to remove certain IPs from your test results. This feature eliminates erroneous data from search engine spiders and spam attacks.
As of this post, my choice is Conversion Prophet. Below are a couple videos showing the inside workings of the tool.
