An Overview Of Drupal And Why You Should Use It

Tonight’s tech video is courtesy of the big G (Google). The video comes from a Google Tech Talk. The speaker give a great overview of the capabilities of Google and highlight some of the major traffic sites out there htat are actually using Drupal as their core format.
While I have used Drupal a couple times in the past, I currently don’t have any sites in production. Based on what I heard in this video, I am currently looking at reviewing Drupal again.
I got an email from Russell Brunson today that said they ported their multi-user blogging over to a multi-user Drupal install instead of Wordpress MU becasue Wordprss MU was choking with all of the users he had join this last week for his Corvette giveaway.
It is a long presenation, but full of great detailed information about Drupal, it’s capabilities and the structure of a Drupal site.

Originally from Wisconsin, I moved out to Salt Lake City over ten years ago on a six month software development contract. I now have over 15 years in software development, and was introduced to internet marketing back in 2003. During the wild west days, are business focused on content sites for Adsense revenue. As it became harder and harder to keep up with the search engines, our business has evolved, and forced us to focus on building lists and creating products. We now have a list of about 5000 interested in goal setting, and a small internet marketing list of about 500.
We’ve been using Drupal for small businesses and have nothing but compliments for the platform. I personally have worked with many flavors of CMS and am confident that in today’s Internet the Drupal platform/framework is a great solution for a wide array of needs.
