I recieved an email this morning from Oliver George at OpenX, letting me know my blog has been chosen in their OpenX blogger competition. Oliver stopped by my blog last month after a post about how we use OpenX to manage the ads you see here on KevinHDavis.com as well as our other sites. That’s pretty cool, I created the post, and then later found out about the competition. I feel OpenX is one of the critical tools we use at Gurus For Hire and it is great to have and enterprise level ad server available for free under open source.
In 2009, we will be expanding how we use OpenX and integrating it more tightly into our ther systems including Butterfly Marketing Script and SugarCRM. We are excited to start using the OpenX API to open up our ad server to be used by our affiliates to give them a single ad server dashboard to track ad performance across product lines and quickly and easily change their ads across their network in a single place. We also plan to use the advanced targeting features such as geo-targeting and keyword target to more closely target our ads to the visitor and improve their experience, increasing our profits.
If you are interested in finding out more about how OpenX could be used in your business, feel free to fill out our contact form on GurusForHire.com for a free 30 minute marketing consultation.
