As you may recall, in “Step One – Find Your Niche”, we discussed what a “niche” is and how to find a profitable niche.
“Niche” definition– In the context of Internet Marketing, a “niche market” is a market that is highly specialized and specific, has many searches for information on, yet has very few search results for in the search engines. Its “supply and demand” in the virtual world. Finding your niche requires finding a market that many are looking for, that doesn’t have a lot of competition, and is something you love.
Now, let’s look at some ways to make money with Niche Marketing.
I don’t care what you do know, or you don’t know, about web design? you can make a website. Web hosting packages come with very easy-to-use software that anyone can figure out. Remember, we’re not talking fancy stuff, we’re talking just a website that gets the work done.
First step, decide on a product, or products, that you would like to market that pertain to your niche. You can simply go to Google, type in your niche and add the word “affiliate” at the end of your search term. Put it all in quotes and see your results. I can just about guarantee that no matter what your niche is, there is someone out there with a related product that would love to have YOU as their affiliate. You can research conversion on each product, etc, but my best rule of thumb is to market a product that you would buy, or you already have bought. It’s “easier” to sell what you believe in. After you have decided on your product, sign up for their affiliate program and get their promo tools/banners on your website. When a viewer clicks on the link from your website, there is special tracking to ensure that you get credit/commission for the sale. That means m o n e y for you!
Next step, go to Google Adsense and sign up for their “pay-per-click” advertising. Google will give you code to put on your site that will cause little related advertisements to appear on your site. When viewers click there, you get paid. This is a simple, no-brainer for any website.
Another option you might want to consider is to promote your own product. You can write an ebook on your niche subject and market it just like anyone else. It’s not hard to do and this is where the real money is. Sound too hard? It’s really not. If you recall that it was mentioned to find a niche you love, you will now see why that point is that much more important. It would be like work to write about something you don’t enjoy, but when it’s something you are passionate about? It would be like fun! Everyone knows something about a certain area that someone else would pay to know. If you chose your niche carefully, you already have an audience that is looking for it.
