Personal Branding Tactics Using Social Media

I was able to catch a few moments tonight with Kenny Santos and Christion Sadler in Sandy tonight between meetings.  One of the topics that always comes up with people that know about and watch my blog is “How are you linking your blog to Twitter and Facebook?”

The second part of that question tonight was can I only do that with WordPress, or is there a way I can do it with my Blogger blog as well since that is already established.  Well the good news, is you can do it with Blogger as well as several other blogging systems using the services found at Utterli.com.

Kenny wants to connect his Blogger blog found at RichDadInvestor.com to his Twitter and Facebook account.  By setting up an using an account on Utterli.com, you can actually send a single email or text to Utterli and have it distributed automatically to several services.

The really cool part of that is it can actually send audio recorded through your phone as well.  Basically, it will post an MP3 file along with an embedded player on your blog and then link to it from Twitter and Facebook as well.  This is a great way to capture thoughts on the road and share them with your readers or in this case listeners.

While I was on Utterli tonight researching this topic, I came across a great blog post from Chris Brogan listing out 100 ways to brand yourself through social media.  Thousands of people each day are joining or visiting social media sites on the web.  If you have a business, or you are an expert in a certain field, you should definitely be including social media in your branding and marketing campaigns.

If you missed the link to the blog post in the paragraph above, here it is again:
