All website owners want more traffic. If you have the best product in the world or the best website, and nobody sees it, then it is useless. If you have the worst product or website in the world and you know how to increase website traffic and millions of people see it, then you will undoubtedly make sales! So knowing how to increase website traffic is thought of as something of a black art, I am here to lift the lid on the mystery.
Methods to increase website traffic needn’t be complex, in fact some of the best methods I have found are actually the simplest, but they do require effort to some degree. Some people think that they need to spend thousands on SEO to get good traffic, good for them, we can leverage off that work with our techniques!
Ok onto technique number 1:
Blogging as it is known is actually the process of setting your own blog and writing, either about your site or about yourself, so that others can read it. The search engines love the constant new content of a properly maintained blog and will give it special attention. You can leverage off this by putting a solid 500 word article on your site, and then submitting the first 100 words to a relevant blog as a teaser with a link to your site. Not only is this a great way to increase website traffic as people click through, but you also get links to your site which can help increase your sites popularity with the search engines. There are millions of blogs out there ? give it a go!
Technique number 2:
Now this technique is hard to master, but is the ultimate way to increase website traffic and if done right, could result in millions of visitors to you site! Viral reports are free reports that you create which have a link or two embedded in them which lead to your site. Now the trick is to make a really inspirational or controversial report and then make sure everyone knows they can give it away for free. You will find it spreading around the internet in all sorts of ways, some list owners could blast it out to 100,000 people as a gift, millions of people could give it to their friends, the report goes ‘viral’ and just spreads and spreads!
Technique number 3:
Videos are the new articles, and it seems there are millions of people out there just watching short videos all day long on Youtube! One fun way to increase website traffic is to create short funny videos (that are preferably related to your site) and then submit them to Youtube. You will need to edit the video or get your website address into the video somehow (embedding it into the corner all the way through would be best) to make sure people know where to go! Is it effective as a way to increase website traffic? Well one video I just saw had 5,500,000 views, and I should think a fair number of those went to the site? get the picture?
So there you have it, some cutting-edge methods to increase website traffic, I advise you to start with number one and then progress onto methods two and three for short bursts of intense traffic. To sustain the increase in website traffic then you will need to work at it twice a week with new articles and videos, in the meantime you can be working on new websites!

For the second technique, you can create the viral reports with Open Office, that way you can save it as a PDF. Within the report, you include links to your other money sites worked into the context of the report.
For example if the report is about how to select a web hosting provider, you could include links to 3 of the top hosting companies which you are actaully an affiliate for. Or if your looking to increase traffic to your own site, you could link back to an optin page to build a list that you are then regularly emailing content and tips to which drive traffic back to your site.
Once you have the report created, you can start to spread it by joining giveaway event and give it away. If you have a product and an affiliate program, you could provide a brandable version to your affiliates and let them spread the viral report.
