If you’ve been researching how to make a living online for any amount of time, you’ve probably seen all the products that have come out recently about making money with niche marketing. You may even understand what niche marketing is but how do you go about making sure you choose a profitable niche?
Great question! I’m glad you asked. Niche marketing is nothing more than helping real people solve real problems that they live with every single day. If you can develop a product or service, or promote someone else’s product for a commission, that helps people solve these real problems, you’ll be able to make money online.
Remember, you don’t just need a niche, you need a niche that solves a problem that people want and need to solve. Some problem niches could be clearing up acne, treating a child with ADD, improving a golf swing, or treating acid reflux. People with problems like these will readily spend money form something that offers a solution.
A grea way to find out hot niche marketing topics with people looking to solve problems is to visit forums on these various niche topics. Spend enough times in forums like these, and you will see the types of problems that people want to solve. Let’s use golfing for example.
You may find, by spending time in a golfing forum, that a problem you see over and over is people wanting to correct their slice drive off the tee. There’s a niche market! If you can develop or find a product that will solve this problem, you will have a lot of potential customers willing to pay you for that solution.
Forums are a great way to do niche market (and product development) research. And it’s free. All it takes is your time. Or, if you have more money than time, you could hire someone to frequent these forums and compile a list of problems they find that people want to solve.
If you’re stuck about how to choose a profitable niche, I highly recommend you compile a list of potential topics and then frequent forums on those topics to see what specific problems people want solved.

Yes, by going to your daily forums can find an hot niche quickly. Or you can try Yahoo Answers, thousands of questions pop up every single day. You can go in there and see what’s most people’s problem, you can find some ideas there as well.
