Too many businesses look at Social Media as a broadcast medium.
It is actually better leveraged as a channel to connect with your clients and visitors and a much more personal level.
Some businesses have also seen success using social media as an extension of their traditional support channels like their online helpdesk.
At Social Traffic Lab, we use Zendesk as our online support helpdesk. With Zendesk, we have an option to integrate our Facebook Business Page, Twitter account, and email and automatically create helpdesk tickets when messages are coming in through social channels.
We can also respond directly within Zendesk and our response is then posted back to the social network keeping the communication within the channel it was initiated which is a better experience for our customers.
