Anjela Dudka

Anjela Dudka

Anjela started her souvenir/knick-knack sales business about four years ago. She presently has a busy little kiosk at the Progress market in Beregovo, Ukraine. Beregovo is located just across the border with Hungary in beautiful southwestern Ukraine, near the Carpathian Mountains. This area enjoys a special economic trade status, different from the rest of Ukraine, which encourages business development.

Anjela hopes in the future to expand her business by opening an additional sales location. She has requested a loan of $1200 to purchase new inventory for her business.

Jamaladdin Farhadov

Mr. Jamaladdin Farhadov is an internally displaced person ( IDP) from the Azerbaijan-Armenian conflict in the territory of Fizuly. He fled to Baku in 1993. He is 29 years old. He is married and has a child. He began his business with $300 in 2003.  He borrowed that loan of $300 from Normicro to rent a place for a bakery. The second time he borrowed $500, which he used to increase pastry production. Now Mr. Farhadov would like to receive a $1,000 loan to buy a new kneading machine. The new machine would increase the store’s inventory. He believes that by expanding his inventory, he will improve the living conditions of  his family. He will repay the loan within 12 months.

Nelly Acosta

Nelly is 30 years old and is married with 2 daughters, one who is 5 and the other just turned 9 months. Her husband, Paulino, works purchasing and selling bricks, a business which he carries out in the capital city.

Nelly is a hairdresser and has worked in this profession for the past 8 years. Coming from a poor family, she was only able to study up to her third year in high school. For this reason, she decided to study hairdressing and work in this profession to earn a living.

Due to her hard work and entrepreneurship,  she has established a good clientele and has even managed to acquire another location that she is currently working on furnishing. Nelly needs a loan in order to purchase things like mirrors, chairs, and sinks so that she can open this new branch of her business.
