Tool To Integrate GotoWebinar with AWeber and 1ShoppingCart

18 Jun

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed with Feedburner. Thanks for visiting!

With the local launch of my 90 Day Social Blueprint course, and our semi-weekly tech Thursday webinars, we have been doing a lot of webinars.  6 a month to be precise.  I have also been talking to several local marketers here in Salt Lake about integrating more webinars into their sales funnel to improve conversions.

One of the challenges in using GotoWebinar is how to put those webinar registrants on an autoresponder to list to follow up and get them on the webinar.  In the case of webinars for existing members, that’s a little more easier, but new leads coming in, in the past you would only have them sign up on the GotoWebinar registration page, and then not follow up.

So tonight I queried the mighty Google to find a solution.  First solution was from well known Robert Plank.  Looks like a solid solution and works with any autoresponder that uses an html signup form.  Price tag… $97.00.  If you were able to snag it during prelaunch on Warriors forum it was $47.  Sadly, I spend very little time in Warriors these days.

If you want to check out Robert Script, CLICK HERE.  Note, that is not an affiliate link I just think this is a solid solution with support if the next one doesn’t work, and you don’t have development staff to make it work.  you could probably still get it fixed on Rentacoder.

Anyway, the second solution claims to work with both AWeber and 1ShoppingCart.  I have downloaded it, but haven’t started testing it yet.  The price is right though…FREE!  OK, you do need to optin to download and in some peoples(Google)  eyes that is not free.  So, if you want to give the free script a go, you can download it by CLICKING HERE.

If you are using webinars on a regular basis, I think these scripts are an awesome solution to increase your list and get more people on webinars through effective followup sequences.

Hope you find them useful,
Kevin

Sending Traffic To Your List Building Page: Part 4, Podcasting Your Heart Out

08 Sep

In our traffic series of articles, we’ve already covered the writing forms of advertising for traffic–blogging and articles. This time, let’s go on to a way to get traffic without the need to write–podcasting, a great alternative.

Your first piece of equipment will be your headset and microphone. Be sure that the product you choose is comfortable to wear and that the sound it produces is clear. Most of them will probably work OK, but you have to decide which one is right for you. You can find headsets on eBay, at Amazon.com, or in any store that carries electronic items.

Then, you’ll need some recording software. You can find shareware and freeware out there, for you to try and buy. Try a few of the different programs and play with the functions until you find the program that ’s right for you. Just be sure that the program has editing capability because you will need that feature at times. You don’t need to make a pristine recording, but big bloopers should be edited out or you won’t seem very professional. Some slight errors may make your recording seem spontaneous, though, so don’t go overboard on editing things out.

Yet, have a plan of action before just talking randomly into the mic. Make a loose outline or a mindmap that will give you a general path to follow. You needn’t make it too detailed or regimented or you could lose your creativity. Just be sure that you have a direction, and if need be, you can edit for length later on.

Try to keep your podcasts to around half an hour at the longest and five minutes at the short end. Though you’ll find podcasts that are shorter and longer, when you’re providing information to people used to moving at the Internet’s fast pace, try to pack as much information into as little time as possible. You can always break your podcasts down into a series, if you feel that you’ve gone too long.

Once your podcast is recorded and edited, you’ll need to convert it to the .mp3 format, if it’s a .wav or other type of audio file. You can go to a software site like Tucows.com to find converter software or just plug “.mp3 file converter” into Google and see what you come up with. The reason you need to do this is so that you’re compatible with the podcasting sites, and that’s the platform Apple iPods run on, hence the name–podcast.

After you have your .mp3 file, you’re ready to upload. Sites like Google Base and Sweetwater accept podcasts, as does iTunes, but they’re just 3 of many places that do this. These are places like YouTube that accept audio files, rather than videos. However, at some of the video places, you can upload podcasts, too. The main issue is finding a site that will house the podcast files for you. When you do a lot of them, they will take up a lot of room if you house them on your own server. Either have lots of room on your own host, or find a site that not only allows you to upload a link to your podcast, but that actually houses the podcast file for you. Once you’re decided on where the files will be stored, then don’t forget to upload the podcast to your blog, too.

Podcasts can also be set up on RSS feeds like blogs. You can do it at places like FeedBurner can help to with that. You can also get a plug in for your WordPress blog called “PodPress” that will help you to make sure the ID3 tags are correct for the podcasting on your blog. ID3 tags are just like META tags for your website or your blog, and use keywords that should be researched in the same way that you’d research them for another form of traffic.

What this article has done is really scratch the surface about podcasting. It’s just a great traffic source that will increase your squeeze page traffic and ultimately your list. Don’t overlook it!

Getting Website Traffic For Free is Not That Hard

07 Mar

Regardless of how good your website is, how good your sales copy is, how good or attractive your product is, unless you generate traffic you will never make money online. This article is going to cover some ways for you to drive traffic to your website for free.

Some say the money is in the list. Well, that may be true, but the real money is in driving traffic to your website. This article is going to give you some tips and tricks you can use to get free website traffic.

Most people when starting out don’t have the extra cash needed to pay someone to get them traffic. So, you must be willing to learn and put in some effort in understanding what you need to do to get traffic for free. Be prepared because it will take work and you will need to commit to it at the beginning. Once you have mastered the techniques, you can start to ease off some as many of the techniques will start to work on auto-pilot for you.

Being able to get website traffic for free will take a little time to build up. Without question, paying for traffic will get you instant results, but it is very important you learn how to get traffic for free. Believe me, it is a great feeling when you get tons of traffic to your site, and you know you haven’t paid a penny for it!

The first place you should look at to get traffic for free is in forums. Depending on what you are selling, or what your website is offering I guarantee you there is a forum on the subject somewhere. Search out and find those forums using the search engines. Check them out, see what people are writing about or commenting on. Join forums and answer people’s questions or simply reply to comments they make in the forum. You will soon brand yourself as an expert in your field and gain a good reputation. Once you are recognized as an expert, you can then start adding your signature to all your comments.

The amount of traffic you get from this will astonish you trust me. The major benefit is that the traffic visiting your site will be highly targeted and much more likely to either optin to your newsletter, or indeed purchase your product.

Set up your own squeeze page or capture page and offer a newsletter full of content on your niche or subject. It is advisable to send all your traffic to your squeeze page and build your own mailing list. When people optin, give them high quality content. Make it enjoyable to read and many of your subscribers will then begin to tell their friends about you. This itself will bring you more free traffic.

Contact other website owners that have similar products to what you are selling. Ask them if they are interested in swapping or trading links. Most webmasters realize the importance of this and most will agree providing you are not selling the same product of course. Exchanging links will help to increase your search engine rankings which will in time bring you more free traffic.

Writing articles of course will bring you a lot of traffic over time. The most important thing is your articles need to be original and full of quality content giving the reader exactly the information they are looking for. It will take time but with high quality articles and good content the traffic will come.

You will need to write up as many articles as possible over a short period of time. The more the better basically. It is free to also submit these articles. The Internet is full of places where you can submit your article without charge. One small tip here is to make sure you do not submit the same article to all of the directories as this will be classified as duplicate content and have a negative effect on your search engine raking. Simply change the article around and make it more than 30% different and then submit it to another directory.

Set up your own Blog and provide good quality content on it. You can get a free Blog from www.wordpress.along with many other places you can get a Blog for free. Providing good content works in two ways. It helps to get your site ranked high on search engines, and because most of your free traffic will come from there, it is important to get your sites ranked high. Secondly, providing good content helps to build and brand you as an expert. People then recommend your site to others bringing you more traffic of course.

Using the above techniques and spending a little time putting everything in place will help you to start getting targeted traffic to your websites for free. There are other techniques of course but for nowFree Articles, use these in this article to at least get started.
